Ninemire on James: “Lindsay has all the talent in the world to be an All-American this year, if her numbers and her play live up to her ability. She’s grown by leaps and bounds since she first stepped on this field, and I look for her to provide leadership in the outfield.”

International: Played on inaugural Greek Olympic softball team at the 2004 Athens games (her great-grandfather, Anastasious Thimis, is from Greece).

2005: Her .439 season batting average was the first average over .400 at Cal since 1995, when Gillian Boxx batted a program record .466 … led the Bears in hitting despite missing the final 17 regular-season games with a broken hand suffered versus Washington (4/8) … named second-team All-Pacific Region and second-team All-Pac-10 … ranks in the top five of four categories in Cal’s all-time career records: batting average (.353, fourth), runs (129, fifth), stolen bases (43, fourth) and hit by pitch (18, first) … in the Pac-10, was third in hits (65), seventh in runs scored (42) and tied for sixth in stolen bases (16) … was hitting a team-leading .478 at the time of the broken left hand that cancelled the remainder of her regular season … posted a team-high 12-game hit streak (2/27-3/12), batting .489 (23-for-47) … went 11-for-16 (.688) in five games at the Carolina Classic (3/25-27) … went 4-for-5 in a win against Alabama (3/5) … led Bears with 17 multi-hit games and had eight games of three hits or more … tallied four perfect days at the plate … had five multi-RBI games … regular season batting average of .478 was 156 points over her .322 career mark entering 2005.

2004: Named second-team All-Pac-10 … had three hits in national semifinal victory against LSU (5/30) … tied for team lead in stolen bases (23), was second in batting average (.356), at-bats (216), runs (51), hits (77) and total plate appearances (236) and third in on-base percentage (.390) . did not commit an error in 52 chances … tied for fourth in the Pac-10 in stolen bases and was fifth in hits … had eight sacrifice bunts to lead Cal … put together a team-high 28-game hitting streak (2/5-3/18) that included 37 hits, 13 RBIs, three doubles and 26 runs … tallied 16 two-hit games and three three-hit games … had nine multi-run games … had at least one hit in each of Cal’s first five Pac-10 games and concluded the conference season on a five-game hitting streak.

2003: Named second team NFCA All-Pacific Region and honorable mention All-Pac-10 … was second on Cal in runs (36) and third in hits (59) and at-bats (206) … started 65 of 66 games she appeared in with a .286 batting average, and seven RBIs.

High School: Hit .620 as a senior at Sequoia HS and was named first team All-San Mateo County, All-Peninsula Athletic League and team MVP for three years … helped her ASA club team, the West Bay Nuggets, to third, fifth and 13th-place finishes at nationals … participated in volleyball and basketball her freshman and sophomore years.

Why I chose Cal: “I came to Cal because of the diverse environment and because of the hippies and the homeless people on Telegraph.”
